Welcome to the site! On the left is a little playlist of some of my tunes. Over the past 3 years I have probably written and recorded over 50 different little songs. Mostly just bible verses put to music.
"Hymns" was created line by line with absolutely no intended result, but did have 2 stipulations: A 'Capella hymns and Psalms only.Turns out we modulated even! Just my silly voice in this one. "Hymns", "Jeremiah 17" and "A Remedy" were all recorded in a day.
"Jeremiah 17" Recorded for a friend of mine. Boy, I thought Psalm chapter one was cool, this part in Jeremiah is awesome! Psalm 1 still rocks though of course :)
"A Remedy" This was a song I recorded earlier, just remixed it a little. Invented a new cord progression, I think I like this version better.
"Those who trust" was recorded in my uncles garage with two mic on a drumset. I then moved my laptop into his living room were, in between the squackings of a rude parrot I layed down a piano part.
"A Bit from Romans" was simply the outcome of meditating on Gods word. I sort of hit record and just sang it all out. This song was actually recorded in my little shed/studio.
"The Leper" was also written in my little studio after reading an account of Jesus healing a blind man. He tells the man to be quiet about this miracle, but (I'd imagine) he bursts into praise. The female vocalist lives 157 miles away, and thanks to email, I was able to send her the song and she sang along with it.
"New Life" was written and recorded in the 2 hours before my baby cousin's emmersion. This was back before I had sound board and carpet in the shed, it was dark and story out that night. We made it to the hospital and played it for them. My aunt loved it. I was happy to give a gift.
"Zech 12:1-3, 9" was recorded as requested by my father. This one I actually recorded in the kitchen on a little laptop. As people walked in and out I would have to delete and rerecord parts. Most all of my A' Capella songs are invented on the spot and they evolve as I continue playing with the audio.
"Deny Yourself!" is again, song scripture. I recorded 2 versions of it. Probably the first time I was able to add drums to a song.
Enjoy! As I learn and progress as a musician I hope to produce more quality music. He that has an ear, let 'em hear!
